SACM service overview

Service overview

The “SACM (Service Adaptor Control Manager)” is a management service platform that allows OEM to provide a framework for automatic connections and total management of equipment. Equipment (service adaptors) compatible with the SACM connect to the SACM automatically simply by connecting the equipment to the network and turning the power on. Settings are acquired and the equipment is run automatically. Direct operation of the equipment is eliminated and efficient, centralized equipment configuration, monitoring, and management are achieved via the SACM admin user interface.

SACM概要

Simply by using the admin user interface to register the Distribution IDs of the service adaptors you want to manage, you can begin management of the target equipment. Registration and deletion of Distribution IDs on the LS (Location Server) specified as the autoconnection destination by the service adapter by the SMF also is processed automatically within the SACM.

Service configuration

The SACM service (hereinafter, Service) is a service provided by OEM, who use an ASP method to provide SACM that allows for automatic equipment connections and total management of devices via SMF. The SACM user interface logos and colors, etc., are customizable. The user interface can be changed to your company’s design and offered to end users as a service under your company’s own naming and unique price structure.

Service identifier system

The SACM service assigns codes as identifiers for the management of contracts. These codes are used to apply for, change, or cancel services as well as when providing support.

Service code

This Service uses two codes, a management code and an SA code to identify and manage contracts.

SA code

The SA code is an identifier consisting of “tss”+8 digits or “tsw”+8 digits. A single SA code is required to manage each service adaptor (SA). A Distribution ID for each service adaptor is assigned and used to manage each SA contract. Distribution ID assignments can be changed at any time from the admin Control Panel. By changing the Distribution ID assignment, it is possible to replace equipment and transfer configurations.

Management code

The Management code is an identifier consisting of “tsa”+8 digits. A single end user Control Panel is provided for each Management code. Using the respective end user Control Panel, you can link multiple managed SA codes. Also, for each Management code, a unique login ID is provided for logging into the end user Control Panel.

About SA code types

There are two types of SA codes, which vary as follows depending on the whether or not the “Recipe Framework” is used. Select one of the types during contract creation based on your needs. Refer to “ Recipe Framework “ for details concerning the Recipe Framework.

Standard SA code (tss)

SA code for when using devices other than Recipe Framework dedicated devices.

Recipe Framework dedicated SA code (tsw)

SA code for when using dedicated Recipe Framework devices.

OEM code

Identifier consisting of “t”+3 upper case letters. Unique code for resellers. These codes are required to apply for, change, or cancel services.
